first day of the rest of my life
Pue.... aquí estoy. I'm in Seville and already I am getting used to the lack of ending on the words spoken here. Hey why waste energy on a silly little 's'? Seville is beautiful. Seville is hot. But it's nothing I can't handle. I am from Houston after all.
I moved into my homestay today and I think I am the luckiest person in the world. The location is perfect. I am in the center of the city, right on the Rio Guadalquivir. I am less than a five minute walk from the Cathedral, my school, and anything else I could possibly want. I count myself very lucky because some of my fellow CIEE-ers are quite far from the center and will have to take the bus to get to class. On top of that, the lady I am staying with, Gloria, seems to be a sweetheart. Her sister, Carmen, lives across the hall and also has a CIEE student living with her who seems great. It will be good to have someone I know so near by.
Right now I cannot imagine being any happier about my situation. I only wish I could talk to my friends back home more often. I feel like a sp
oiled American (which I am) who can't survive without the internet (which I can't) for two weeks (which I've had to do). But now that I've found a cozy little Internet café and have ceased the life of living out of suitcases I won't neglect everyone back home again! I promise.
the tower in the picture is right by where I live. Yeah, it's beautiful.
