next stop for the olympic torch: shenzhen

I am at my friend's apartment in Nanshan* waiting for the time the torch will pass through her neighborhood. I would have watched it from my school - it passes right through my neighborhood as well - but my school informed me that if I wanted to watch it with them I would have to wear a uniform of some sort. "They are very strict, " I was informed. I'm not sure what that means, but I politely declined.
