resurfacing

Well, Ike hit Houston. And how! We made it through the storm unscathed. Our house almost did. We lost a fence and our dining room suffered a pretty damaging leak; we were without power for a few days and are STILL without Internet (thank goodness for free wireless at Panera!), but we are thankful that our family is safe. We were incredibly lucky.

I'll be back to post a few pics and discuss more about the biggest hurricane to hit Houston in years, but for now, I just wanted to let you know that we're fine. Next post will be from home (hopefully)!
